Emergency Services Training
Obtaining the ES CAPF101 card
All emergency service personnel must have a CAP101 card. This is a ID card that will allow you to gain access to the EOC (Emergency Operations Center). This ID card will contain basic identification information about you as well as what training has been completed. It will also indicate what skills are in training status as well. To obtain a CAPF101 card there is two tests to complete. The 116 part 1 and 2, it will cover General Emergency Services questions as well as items about the ICS(Incident Command System). To take 116 test have your CAPID handy and click on the link below. Good Luck!

Ground Team and Urban Direction Finding Training
This is the most basic course of the Emergency Services Training available. This consists of constructing a 24-hour pack and a 72-hour pack which hold all items needed to survive for 24 hours or 72 hours respectively. This training also teaches the cadets/seniors how to land navigate with a compass, common survival techniques, basic tracking techniques, shelter building, and more. The ground team training is broken down into 3 levels: Ground Team 3, Ground Team 2, Ground Team 1. Each level build on the previous and then when all three levels are attained there is one more step, Ground Team Leader, the GTL is then able to train and certify GT3, GT2, GT1 cadets.
In addition to the ground team training there is also Urban Direction Finding. This is the same as land navigation only it is utilized in the city and most likely with vehicles.
To learn more about Ground Team Training review the GT manual and testing materials.
